finally a homeowner and my neighbor is constantly surveilling my movements, writes anonymous notes to neighbors and cuts part of my front lawn for some unknown reason.

  • I really don't care that she cuts the grass but it's so odd that she cuts 6ft onto my property and then stops. It results in my front yard looking one quarter finished

  • all the time. She mows 3 times a week so I cannot keep up with her schedule. I cannot fathom a reason why she would do this.

  • There is no way she thinks her property cuts 6ft into mine, she would own part of my bedroom if that were the case.

  • I constantly catch her peeping into my windows and interrogating me anytime I'm in the yard. She writes angry letters

  • to my neighbor about him parking in front of MY house and doesn't sign her name. So now he thinks I'm writing angry notes to him. She's constantly telling me where I should park in my own front yard.

  • She's old and runs a dog daycare out of her house and I'm honestly shocked people trust her. She lets the dogs out into her front

  • unfenced yard with no leashes. There are big deer and other animals roaming around, a dog could easily get scared and run out of her front yard.

  • She tied a bunch of fishing line in MY shrubs to keep deer off her property but they are there everyday anyways. It looks so tacky and she didn't even ask if she could do it.

  • She talks to me through the plants and fence all the time and it makes me feel like I'm in The Truman Show. I have no privacy

  • and I bought a house that's basically covered in shrubs and trees for the privacy! I've had to put privacy film on all my

  • anydaynowwwww Put some big rocks or some planters to mark your property line
  • maxrenn93 Good idea! The city has a street tree program coming up, I'll grab a couple trees and put some chairs or rocks out.

  • trikaren Take out the fishing line. Tell her firmly to stay off your property and get a lot of cameras.

  • Progressing Onward Agreed; OP should tell her that the fishing line disrupts any birds that might want to nest there. She's being "ecologically irresponsible."

  • CrucialFusion Some neighbors are just so much fun. I had one who would trim the 1/4 of a sizable shrub that hung over his property line. Okay, message received - you like your plants tightly trimmed and don't appreciate my more relaxed schedule. I evened it out because that looked terrible. The next time he did it, I simply cut straight down through the shrub to remove the 1/4 that hung over.
  • maxrenn93 My shrubs are well within my property line and she even said she likes the shrubs. Her tying fishing line into them is probably 2 ft onto my property line. There is even a fence for the backyard and shrub continues into the front. She had to place the like to the middle of my fence and into the shrub.
